Roof Cleaning & Moss Removal
Protects the tiles. Gets the roof breathing again.
Moss holds water against the tile surface. Over time it weakens the tile, blocks the gutter, and makes the roof look ten years older than it is. Getting it off is straightforward. Getting it off without damaging the tiles takes a gentler hand.
- Hand scrape with soft tools
- Biocide wash to kill the spores
- Gutters cleared of debris as part of the job
How we do this job properly.
Why not a pressure washer
High pressure water strips the sand finish off concrete tiles, drives water under the laps, and causes more problems than the moss ever did. We hand scrape, soft brush, and treat with a biocide that kills the spores and stops regrowth.
Debris and gutters
Every moss job ends with the gutters cleared and flushed. Moss that went in the gutter stays out of it.
After treatment
The tiles go back to their natural colour over the first few rains. The biocide keeps the roof clear for a good few years. A recoat down the line extends that further.

Before you call, the quick answers.
Will the moss grow back?
Eventually yes, because spores are airborne. The biocide slows it down massively. A refresh down the line keeps things looking right.
Does it need scaffolding?
Most jobs need proper access of some kind. We don't work off ladders on a pitched roof, full stop.
Can you do it without chemicals?
We can hand scrape only, but the growth comes back quicker because the spores are still there. The biocide is the part that makes it last.
